purposes? The different types of personal
protective equipment used for safety
purposes are googles and face
protection, safety shoes, gloves, ear
muffs/ear plug and the respirator.
What are the uses of goggles and face
protection? It must be used when at risk from
flying particles, liquid chemicals,
acids or caustic liquids and chemical
gases.
How about the safety shoes?
It is used in work areas where heavy
objects or tools could be accidentally
dropped on the feet.
What is the function of gloves?
It is required to protect your hands
from cuts, punctures, burns,
chemical absorption and exhaust
temperatures.
How about the earmuffs/ear plugs?
It must be made available as a last
resort if it is not possible to make the
workplace less noisy.

What is the use of respirator? Respirator must be sworn as a last


resort if it is not possible.

health and safety procedures for
controlling hazards and risks.

a physician.

nearest clinic or hospitals.

extinguish the fire.
