2. Motivation

I will group you into three groups.
I have here three boxes; inside the
box are some puzzle pieces that you
are going to arrange properly. I will
give you three minutes to do this
activity. When you are done you
will sing the song of Dora
“We did it, we did it, Hooray!”
The first group who will finish the
puzzle will win.

and Group 3.

Before we read it, we are going to
unlock some difficult word that we
can see in our story.

there are jumbled letters and on the
right side are the meanings of each

C. WHILE READING- READING ALOUD
I will read the story twice afterwards you
are going to answer some questions. Is
that clear.
Yes Teacher.
NITO IN THE INSECT WORLD
Nito is a boy who likes to play with insect,
he enjoyed watching the spider wrestle, he
also tie the tail of the dragonfly and let if it fly
like a kite. Nito is very happy playing with the
insect not knowing that somebody is watching
him. The King Butterfly is very angry with
Nito.

“This is the right time for you to suffer the


consequences of your action Nito. ” said the
King.

In an instant Nito became tiny as an ant. He


was shocked and he screamed out loud.
“Father! Mother! Help me.” pleaded Nito. But
nobody heard him.

“Hu! hu! hu! What will happen to me


now!” cried Nito.

The King insect arrived. With him are some


insects that share same feelings toward Nito.
They immediately walk towards Nito.

“Nito! This time you will experience to be


like an insect like us. I hope this will serve as a
lesson to you. God made all creatures in this
earth and each one of us has the right to live,
love, and to be taken care of ”, said the King.
“Your majesty, please forgive me and I
promise not to do it again. ”

“No! ”, answered the King. The king


ordered other insects to attack Nito. The
insects followed the King. Nito ran as fast as he
could to escape until, he was pick up by a boy
who also loves to play with insects. The boy
wanted Nito and the other spider to wrestle.
The spider is ready to attack Nito. “No!!
Ahhhh! ”, Nito shouted.

Nito woke up and realized that it was just a


dream. He prayed and promised not to harm
the insect anymore.

The king was very happy. The king return


to his kingdom to spread the news.

D. POST- READING
I have here some questions, raise your
hands if you want to answer.

 Who is angry with Nito?  The King Butterfly

2. Enrichment Activity
Earlier, I asked you a question.
 “What insect do like most? What can
you do to protect them?

I will call this activity “SKL”


Who is familiar with SKL?
SKL means Share Ko Lang.

So who wants to share?  I like spiders. I will not use them as


my toy.
 I like butterflies. I will not harm them
 I like dragonflies. I will not catch any
dragonfly.

Very good, in order to protect we must


not use them as our toys, don’t harm
and catch them because like us, they
have lives too.

Is that understood? Yes, Teacher.

Focus on some sentences in the story.

found in our story.
1. Nito likes to play with insects.
2. Nito ties the tail of the dragonfly.

Verbs are word like dance, sing, clap,
walk, run and many more. It shows an action.
In short “verbs are action words.” Yes Teacher.

Again what is Verb? Likes, play, ties, watches and wrestle

What are the verbs in our example? Climb, jump, shout, read, write, etc.

Can you give me another example of verbs? None teacher.
