IV. PROCEDURES
A. Review/Introductory -The teacher reads the story to the class. (See Q4M1 p. 1)
Activity

-Show to the class the following pictures with words used in the story. Let the class
identify the pictures with words that show action.

Asks: Who will try to perform these action words? (Guide the class in their performance.)
B. Activity/ Motivation -Read to the class the following story. (See Q4M1 pp. 3-4)
-Let the class answer the following questions:
1. What are the underlined words in the story?
2. What do these words show?
3. What do we call these words?
4. Who will volunteer to perform these action words?

C. Analysis/Presenting -The teacher tells the class that words that show action are called verbs.

Can you give more examples? (Elicit answers from the class.)

-Acknowledge the answers of the pupils. Write their answers on the board and let the

-Read the following story to the class and let them identify the action words used in
the story.
-Facilitate the answers of the pupils.
