LESSON PLAN IN MOTHER TONGUE II

I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the 30 minute lesson, the grade II Rizal is expected to do the
following with 80% level of accuracy.

a. Tell when to use the present form of the vern


b. Use the simple present form of the verb in a simple sentence
c. answer higher level questions

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

Topic: Simple present form of Verb


Reference: MTB-MLE TG & LM (Page 50 – 52 & 75 – 77)

III. MATERIALS:

 Pictures showing action


 Charts

IV. PRODUCERE:

Good afternoon class! I am going to be your teacher for today, and my name is
teacher Chamz/Ben. Again Good afternoon (Good afternoon teacher Chamz/Ben) Are
you ready for today’s lesson? (Yes teacher!) But, before we start what are the things
that you can see in this chart? (There are families) what else, how about on the other
side of the board what can you see? (On the other side of the board there are group of
friends) very good! Now Dino, Pia, Gab, and Katrina are on their way to their friends.
Do you want to help them meet their friend on the other side? (Yes teacher!) So now
in order for you to help Dino, Pia, Gab and Katrina I will group the class into four.
So, this will the group 1 and you will be the one to help Dino and for the group 2 you
will be the one to help Pia and for the group 3 you will be the one to help Gab and for
the last group which is the group 4 you will be the one to help Katrina, now are we all
clear? (Yes teacher) But, before we start what are the things that we need to
remember? (Listen carefully, and pay attention to the teacher) very good! What else?
(Cooperate actively!) very good!
A. Motivation:
Before we are going to start with our discussion, we are going to have our group
activity. Each group will solve a picture puzzle. I will give each group an envelope
and inside of each envelope are puzzles that you need to solve. I will only give you 2
minutes to solve the given puzzle then the solved puzzle should be paste on the board.
Now, what are the pictures that you can see in your solved puzzle? (They are playing,
reading books, singing and Dancing) Now, based on the given pictures what are the
words that show action? (Playing, Reading, Singing, and Dancing) Very good! Well,
if these words are action words, what do we call it? (Verb word!) very good! Class,
aside from your family, who are those people that makes you happy? (My friends)
what are the activities that you do? (We play in the park, we take pictures, and we
love eating)

B. Presentation bayla kanta

I have here a paragraph on the board and It is all about “Mi Amiga”. I am going to read it
first.

“MI AMIGA”

Tiene yo un amiga. Alice el de suyu nombre, junto kame


ya engranda. De suyu casa cerca lang donde tambien
kame ta queda poreso si no hay kame clase ta anda si
Alice na di amon casa y yo tambien ta anda na de ila
casa. Ta coci kame maga cosa para merienda como el
saging frito, hot cake y lumpia. Ta limpia tambien kame
casa y ta estudia kame despues.
C. Discussion
1. What is the name of her friend? (The name is Alice)
2. Are they neighbors? (Yes ma’am/sir)
3. What are the things that they do when they don’t have classes? (They go to each
other’s house, and they cook, they clean and study)
4. How about you, do you have a friend? (Yes ma’am/sir)
5. What do you usually during weekends?
6. Let’s take a look at the words/phrases written on the board. What do we call this
words?
7. When is the action being done?
8. What word comes before the action word? (“TA”)
9. What word to we use to tell that the action is the present tense? (Ta come, ta kanta, ta
bayla, ta huga, ta le)
D. Generalization

Based on our discussion. When are we going to use the present form of verb? What word
do we use to tell that the action is in the present form or the action is being done now? (If
we put “Ta” first than the action word just like ta come, ta kanta, ta bayla, ta huga, ta le)
Now, who can give me an example of a simple present form of verb? (Ta kamina) What
else? (Ta kore) ok very good!

E. Application
Now, this time we will know if you have thoroughly understood the meaning of verb in
the present tense. I have here 7 sentences which you are going to choose and encircle the
correct present tense verbs to be use.

1. Katie (yells, yell) out the window.

2. He (run, runs) in every competition.

3. He usually (get, gets) up at 6 A.M.

4. Fatima (answered, answers) the question correctly.

5. Laura (live, lives) in Florida.

6. The band (plays, play) salsa music

7. She (drives, drive) too fast.

F. Evaluation

I have an exercise here with me. Who can read the directions?
