Terry Bradshaw’s Favorite Dessert Left Kelly Clarkson Speechless

It stunned Curtis Stone, too.

Recently, NFL players have gotten a lot of attention for their diets. More specifically, their sideline snack of choice after “The Athletic” published a report that NFL teams league-wide were eating a collective 80,000 Uncrustables every season.

While we knew Travis Kelce loves to eat the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the box, NFL fans were shocked to learn that the Denver Broncos topped the list by eating about 7,000 sandwiches per week.

Those 80,000 sandwiches may be fueling the active players to keep their energy up mid-game, but the hosts, analysts, and commentators are the ones enjoying the real snacks. Former Arizona Cardinals defensive end and “The NFL Today” analyst J.J. Watt shared a behind-the-scenes video of the goodies in the CBS Sports studio.

“It’s that time of the week! Coach’s latest efforts to destroy my diet…” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a video of former Pittsburgh Steelers coach and “The NFL Today” analyst Bill Cowher offering Watt a plate of doughnuts.

Cowher isn’t the only Steelers legend who’s been showing off his love for sweets. Former Steelers quarterback and “Fox NFL Sunday” host Terry Bradshaw recently made an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” and he stunned daytime host Kelly Clarkson with his dessert choice.

Terry Bradshaw's Favorite Dessert

The four-time Super Bowl champ was a guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” alongside actress DeWanda Wise and chef Curtis Stone. When Clarkson asked Stone about his new restaurant, The Pie Room, which specializes in sweet and savory pies, Bradshaw made a face when meat pies were mentioned.

“Meat? Ugh,” Bradshaw said.

“You don’t like pot pie?” Wise asked.

“No,” Bradshaw replied.

“What do you like in your pie, Terry?” Stone asked.

“I like peaches. Real pie. Not meat pie,” he joked.

Clarkson, who we know is a real pie enthusiast—specifically a Patti LaBelle pie enthusiast—was quick to point out that both “meat or sugar” pies are real pies, and they’re amazing.

But, the Pro Football Hall of Famer doubled down on his controversial pie take.

“See, I like it cold. I don’t like hot pie,” Bradshaw said.

“Warm apple pie?!” Clarkson enthusiastically asked. “Warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream?”

DeWanda Wise was shocked too, asking Terry, “What are you talking about?”

“I’m so mad at you right now,” Clarkson said as Bradshaw hid his face in his jacket.

Bradshaw did branch out from his preferred cold peach pie later in the show when Stone made the crew his no-bake Banoffee Pie in a jar.

“Don’t worry, Terry, it’s going to be cold, and it’s going to be sweet, and you’re going to be happy,” Stone said.

We know Uncrustables weren’t around when Bradshaw was playing alongside the Steel Curtain, but if cold and sweet are his two stipulations, maybe the PB & J should be available for his mid-game snack after all.
