Sure, it seems like such a mundane thing, but if we’ve learned anything from media coverage over the years, it’s that celebs are “just like us!” And, yet, we’re always shocked to learn that Super Bowl champions devour Doritos in bed, country stars go cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, and Golden Globe Award-winning actors sneak into the kitchen for peanut butter toast late at night. When, on a recent episode of his podcast “New Heights,” Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was asked about his favorite school lunch growing up, we thought his answers of chicken nuggets and pizza bagels were pretty normal. What we weren’t prepared for was to learn that there's one childhood staple that he still eats to this day. The One Thing Travis Kelce Eats More Than "Anything Else" “I’m going back to PB&J—that was the one we had the most. It’s so complete as a sandwich,” Jason Kelce, Travis' brother and podcast co-host (and center for the Philadelphia Eagles center), says in response to the school lunch question. “Have we talked about this already? I eat an Uncrustables probably more than I eat anything else in the world,” Travis responds. Yes, the six-foot-five Super Bowl-winning tight end who’s nicknamed “El Travador” loves a peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables. Alright now, we won't judge Travis—mostly because we can relate. Who doesn’t love the convenience and downright deliciousness of a frozen, un-crusted PB&J sandwich? The only remaining questions we have for Kelce are which Uncrustables flavor is he reaching for—the classic Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Sandwich or the Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam Sandwich—and is he eating it as-is or toasted, as only a true Uncrustables super fan would? Oh, and has he ever tried popping one in the air fryer? (Travis, you can thank us later for that idea.) Either way, we really can’t be surprised that Kelce still loves this childhood favorite—especially because it’s in the same vein as his go-to pre-game meal. Kelce says he eats French toast with strawberries before every Chiefs game because it helps him carb-load for energy, plus it gets his blood sugar going. An Uncrustables does all that—plus it has some extra protein thanks to the peanut butter, so it really is an excellent snack choice for the footballer. Between the many brand shoutouts to Uncrustables and Burger King on his podcast, we have a feeling that we might just be seeing Kelce in even more commercials soon. Though, we're not complaining; El Travador is making this NFL season one of the most exciting ones yet. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
