Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Published on February 5, 2024 Close It’s official: Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl—so you haven’t seen the last of the Big Yeti yet. Regardless of how you feel about either of the two teams playing in the Big Game, there is one thing to still get excited about: the menu. When it comes to the party spread, we love to coordinate a menu that has some ties to the two teams facing off. So, maybe in addition to your Buffalo chicken dip, sliders, and nachos, you’d want to have Kansas City burnt ends or San Francisco sourdough. Come on, we love a theme. If you want to take it up a notch (we always do), you could also eat like some of your favorite players while watching the game. Sure, we know that Kelce loves French toast and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes eats Doritos almost every night in bed, but those aren’t the kind of foods we’re talking about. Though, a bowl of Doritos is a must at our Super Bowl party. Instead, we’ve got access to some of the biggest players’ favorite Super Bowl dishes—and, don’t worry, we would never gatekeep them. We’re talking Mahomes’ family chili and truly anything made by Kelce’s mom, Donna—like her seven-layer dip and infamous chocolate chip cookies. Now, Mama Kelce is at it again, sharing more recipes she and her sons Travis and Jason enjoy at Super Bowl get-togethers. Mama Kelce teamed up with Barefoot Wine, the official wine sponsor of the NFL and Super Bowl LVIII, to share her “wineup” for the big game. The menu includes three family-favorite recipes (one from Donna, one from Travis, and one from Jason) plus the ideal wine pairing. So, if you went to a Kelce family Super Bowl party, Mama Kelce is making classic hot dogs paired with Pinot Grigio, Jason—the Philadelphia Eagles center—is unsurprisingly making Philly cheesesteaks paired with Cabernet Sauvignon, and Travis is making Kansas City chicken wings paired with Sauvignon Blanc. Hot dogs are self-explanatory, and even Philly cheesesteaks are pretty hard to mess up, but what, exactly, are Kansas City chicken wings? Surprisingly, they’re not barbecue-flavored—but, rather, the three-ingredient recipe is all about the spice. Here’s how to make the Travis-approved dish. Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chicken Wings Barefoot Wine Ingredients: 2 pounds chicken wings2 tablespoons olive oil1 teaspoon salt1/2 cup hot sauce1/4 cup unsalted butter Directions: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).Toss chicken wings with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.Bake wings on a rack for 45-50 minutes until crispy, turning halfway. In a bowl, mix hot sauce and melted butter.Toss baked wings in the sauce until coated.Serve hot paired with Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc.
