5 Ways to Level Up a Box of Uncrustables

One little sandwich, so many possibilities.

Everyone has a favorite supermarket shortcut. For us, it's Smucker's Uncrustables, the super convenient soft bread sandwiches that kids love. But if you're only sticking Uncrustables in your lunchbox, you're missing out on a lot of possibilities. Forget about packed lunches and open your mind to leveled up Uncrustables. Read on for our favorite tricks for turning Uncrustables into a fun snack or breakfast, as well as some superb recommendations from our TikTok followers.

1. Turn them into doughnuts

This first trick might just be our favorite. All that's separating you from easy homemade doughnuts is the Uncrustables sandwich of your choice, a frying method, and some cinnamon sugar. Whether they're deep fried or air fried, Uncrustables are unbeatable when they're turned into doughnuts.

2. Stick them in the toaster

Is this suggestion simple? Sure. But it's also the kind of hack people overlook, and we appreciate TikTok user @melissavillalobos80's ingenuity. In the morning, forego your waffles or Pop-Tarts and try Uncrustables in the toaster instead. You'll get super warm and gooey but still crispy results.

3. Speaking of toast....

Think of all the ways you could use Uncrustables to replace bread. Imagine them as French toast, like TikTok user @pacountryboy76 suggests. Instead of dipping plain bread in your egg mixture, try Uncrustables instead and continue cooking as normal. And that's how you make a top-tier breakfast even better.

4. Keep improving breakfast

TikTok user @bguarro67 recommends dipping Uncrustables in waffle batter with a little bit of vanilla added. Then take your dipped sandwich and fry it — air fryers don't handle wet batter well, so you'll need to deep-fry or pan-fry.

5. Try them somewhere new

If the Uncrustable fits, then cook it! Stick a few in your air fryer for a crispy treat or heat one up in a mini waffle maker like TikTok user @colindetroit.
