His character was introduced in FX’s Ryan Murphy-led show, “Grotesquerie,” the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints in Monday Night Football—which his brother, Jason, and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, were in town for—that included a Kelce lateral pass, he hosted his annual Kelce Car Jam fundraiser, and, oh yeah, his birthday was Oct. 5. As all Swifties know, Kelce was born in 1989—the same year as Swift—so he celebrated his 35th birthday this weekend at Kelce Car Jam. Kelce seems like a birthday guy when it comes to his loved ones’ big days—his Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes, recently revealed Kelce gave him a Louis Vuitton golf bag for his 29th birthday. So, we’d like to assume that his teammates, family, and friends go all out for him, too. Even though he told People that he would take another Super Bowl win as his birthday present this year, it doesn’t sound like Kelce’s birthday party consisted of the same extravagant Milk Bar cake that Swift orders for her birthday. The Dessert Travis Kelce Could Eat 10 Of On the Oct. 2 episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast, “New Heights,” in addition to the traditional ad read for their partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason had B-Dubs delivered. After eating his wings and bacon burger, he washed it down with dessert: doughnuts from Neil’s Donuts in Connecticut. As Jason dug into the doughnut, Travis jealously sighed, “Aw man, good thing they’re over there.” Jason told Travis that Neil’s Donuts might give Kansas City favorite, LaMar’s Donuts, a “run for their money.” LaMar’s is a doughnut shop that’s been around since 1933, and once it was mentioned, Travis immediately shared his love for the doughnuts, which are sold in an iconic yellow box. “I love a good yellow box,” he said. “Yellow boxes are dangerous. I’m at that point in the season where I’m like, 'Let me just push it away.'" “It’s a sad day in your NFL career when you realize you’ve hit that age where you can’t just eat whatever you want anymore,” Jason said. Travis just entered his 12th season in the NFL, so maybe he’s had the same realization. “I see that golden glazed doughnut just sitting in the yellow box. I’m just like, mhm, I don’t need that today. I’ll get it tomorrow, knowing that they don’t have boxes of doughnuts in the building every day. [I] just lie to myself so that I don’t just grab 10 doughnuts and run around the corner and just stuff my face,” he said. Kelce hasn’t been one to cut calories in the past. Between his pregame French toast and love for Uncrustables—plus, his new General Mills partnership alongside Jason for their Kelce Mix cereal, which combines Reese’s Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Lucky Charms—so we weren't too surprised when he brought out the yellow box filled with LaMar's Donuts on the Oct. 9 episode of "New Heights." "I see these [doughnuts], this is like seeing gold," Travis said. "It's like finding Pokemon when you see a f***ing yellow box just on a random desk at the football facility. [I'm] just like, 'Oh sh*t, I wonder if they got the blueberry glaze in there.'" While they didn't have the blueberry glazed doughnut, the brothers did a review of the classic glazed ones—Jason giving it an 8.2 out of 10 and Travis rating it a perfect 10 out of 10, which Jason said "you can't" do. "What if you get a doughnut better than this? You've already rated this a 10. What do you rate that one," he asked. "You're serious about your reviews. I think this is a phenomenal doughnut. I'm enjoying the h*ll out of it. And when I feel this, I give it a 10," Travis responded. "So you're going to get a lot of 10 doughnuts," Jason said. "Dude, I eat 10 doughnuts every Friday before practice," Travis said with a laugh. "You eat 10," Jason asked. "Well, rated 10," Travis clarified. "Really, I only eat like four, but that's just to carb up right before Friday practice." There's the Travis Kelce we know and love. We knew he wasn't skipping doughnuts to try to watch his figure. Especially not after how he ate the doughnut on the podcast. "I f***ing love these things," he said. ". I'm just wearing all this sugar, too, and I'm just gonna piece by piece just eat it." Four doughnuts is nothing for the Big Yeti—and it might even be more this week since the Kansas City Chiefs have their by-week before taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 20.
