Copycat Nutella

I admit I'm addicted to Nutella! But at $8 or $9 per week for a large jar, the cost was adding up. So I came up with my own version. This is super gooey and so yummy!

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 15 servings

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter

  • ¼ cup hazelnut-flavored syrup for beverages

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Mix sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, hazelnut-flavored syrup, honey, and vanilla extract together in a saucepan; cook and stir over medium heat just until mixture starts to boil, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir chocolate chips into mixture until melted and smooth; pour into a container and cool to room temperature.

Tips

Dark, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate chips can be used.

If you don't have any chocolate chips on hand, you can substitute 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, or you can chop up enough milk or dark chocolate bars to equal 1 cup.
