Mac and cheese, manicotti, and gnocchi have been known to grace many a holiday table, so let’s show our carb-heavy dishes some respect. Sure, they’re no ham or leg of lamb, but they sure are a crowd-pleaser. Plus, the holiday season is a whole season after all—and nothing says quick and easy dinner during the busy month of December quite like a pasta recipe. The holidays are all about spreading cheer, and nothing puts a smile on our faces quite like everyday items getting a seasonal makeover. Store windows transformed into festive scenes, Reese’s peanut butter cups turned into Reese’s trees, and even regular old pasta shapes reconfigured to look like snowflakes. To make mealtime a little more fun and festive this year, Barilla is releasing its first-ever winter holiday pasta shape. After the success of its Barilla Love, the heart-shaped pasta that launched in 2023, Barilla is adding a new limited-edition shape to its lineup: Barilla Snowfall. Barilla Releases New Snowfall Shapes It’s the same pasta you know and love, just in three unique shapes in every box. Snowfall features designs to represent the “tradition,” “joy,” and “love” of the holiday season. The classic snowflake is for tradition, the poinsettia-like snowflake stands for joy, and the snowflake with the heart in the center embodies love. Barilla Barilla says that 46% of Americans want to try fun shapes of pasta—with 56% saying that desire increases depending on the season. There aren’t many holiday pasta shapes on the market, so this release is a great way to corner the market. Those of us who grew up eating Kraft mac and cheese know that the shapes—like Spongebob Squarepants and Rugrats—made the dish taste even better somehow. So, now we can add a touch of nostalgia and holiday flair to any pasta meal. Barilla has suggested a few recipes perfect for the Snowfall shape, including white Cheddar mac and cheese, creamy broccoli chicken pasta, and chicken noodle soup. However, the pasta shape works well in any one of your favorite recipes. Barilla’s Snowfall pasta will be available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com starting in December. It's time to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow pasta. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
