Reese's Has a New Halloween Candy, and We Tried It First

Nope, it's not a new shape.

In case you haven't heard, we are officially entering Reese's season—sorry, Halloween season. But as Reese's remains the most popular Halloween candy year after year, it's basically the same thing.

As long as you don't check the outside temperature—or the date—you might think it's already spooky season with the amount of fall and Halloween products hitting stores. I can't say I'm too upset to see Reese's Pumpkins back on shelves, as my July stash from Hershey's first-ever summer sale of the shape has already disappeared.

In addition to Reese's shape classics—pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and skeletons—this year, Reese's is releasing an all-new peanut butter and chocolate candy sure to become a fast favorite. And, no, it's not a new shape.

Reese's New Halloween Candy: Werewolf Tracks

Reese’s is launching the new Werewolf Tracks peanut butter cups at retailers nationwide. The new cup features a layer of milk chocolate topped with vanilla-flavored white creme and filled with Reese’s classic peanut butter.

Hershey’s says the new vanilla-chocolate peanut butter cup is reminiscent of the fan-favorite Moose Tracks ice cream flavor, vanilla ice cream swirled with fudge and mini peanut butter cups.

Reese’s Werewolf Tracks are available in snack, standard, and king sizes through Halloween. Plus, the new candy will be included in the Reese’s Halloween Lovers assortment bag.

I tried Reese’s new Halloween flavor, and here’s my honest review.

My Honest Review of Reese's Werewolf Tracks

Hershey’s has multiple innovations for Halloween this year—like Kit Kat Ghost Toast and Twizzlers Ghosts—but I was most excited to try Reese’s Werewolf Tracks.

Visually, the new Reese’s cups are really fun with the light and dark split—even if they don’t invoke werewolf or moose tracks vibes.

Obviously, though, it’s all about the taste. Werewolf Tracks is pretty true to a traditional Reese’s peanut butter cup but with the addition of the extra-sweet vanilla creme.

I wouldn’t consider myself a white chocolate or white creme fan (unless it’s in an Oreo), but this new Reese’s doesn’t taste like traditional white chocolate. It tastes like a super-sweet Reese’s peanut butter cup—and what could be bad about that?

I’m a huge fan of Reese’s shapes during Halloween (and any other season I can get my hands on them), so finding a new candy that will pull me away from the classics is pretty hard.

Let’s just say that if I found Reese’s Werewolf Tracks in my trick-or-treat bag, I wouldn’t be trading it any time soon.
