Son, Justin... gave me the above print, for Christmas....
many years ago.

The Civil War... 'era' prints, were all 'hand colored'.
There was a system to the hand coloring.
People... who were Elderly, Disabled...or... Children, who couldn't otherwise work, could sit...
with a paintbrush, and one color.
As the prints came down the line...
they'd hand paint their color.

You can always tell... the much later reproductions from the early... 'prints'.
'Perfection'...
can be easily duplicated, in these modern days,

Crazy.... Day.

Had to be UP Early... this morning, to grab the key for Justin's Shop.

this morning to pick up the Italian Mirror.
Had a miscommunication with the 'Justins', concerning... 'the key'.

He collapsed at his Pool Hall, for no apparent reason.
Gratefully, a Friend was there, shooting Pool, and found him.

He Brought Mark... back to Life.

got a hold of his Daughters, they found Mark... and he was Fine!!

He was at The Legion, visiting with Neighbors.... where there was no reception.

Larry lived alone, we talked every couple of weeks.
His Girls live in other States, so... when he wouldn't answer them, they'd call me to go check on him.

The last time they couldn't reach Larry, they called my Brother in Law.

Needless to say, I was very Frantic, when none of us could reach Mark, last night.
Mark came by... a bit ago, we got the Books done.

We were Plowed In, by Fairfax's Now....
'Bike/Pedestrian/ATV/Snowmobile'

Those Snowmobiles... were Runnin' FAST...
on Fairfax's Trail... along 151 in front of our Home...

Justin plowed the snow back from the drive, where the Snowmobile people plowed the Trail's snow, on us.
Water is already ponding.
More ponding on our property, where it never did before IDOT's Fairfax Trail Accommodations.
The Elevation...and Encroachment... is a Problem.
Water simply does not run uphill.
I'm the only one... on 151 that didn't get a concrete driveway, when IDOT came through with this last 'Project'.
They put in this Horrible... Soft, Loose Rock, that's a Mess... every time Justin plows.
{Yes... They are Aware of It.}
We have to rake it up... Extremely Well, before we mow.
The mower throws rocks into the highway, or our Home.
Even my Neighbor's... who had gravel drives, before... got concrete from IDOT, with the last 'Project'.
I remember when a Worker from IDOT District 6 told me...
"If you wouldn't have gotten a 'Lawyer' involved, we might have been 'nicer' to you."
{To think, at First... I really liked him. : (}
I just stood there, looking at him, and said...
"I sure Hope You... Never have to go through Condemnation.
{He lives on Highway 30. It Could Easily Happen.}
If You Do... Even...You, Had Better Have a 'Lawyer'.
I wouldn't even 'Wish' 'This'... on You."

Gayle has went through Much Therapy with that knee, trying to save it from surgery.

He'd just gotten out of the Hospital.
Larry Was Still Planning to come, but... his Dr. said...

Then he said he had to reset the Code for the Security on the FOB.
"Yeah...." I said.
It was that Damned FOB.
Then he said...

Anamosa Antique & Vintage Market '24... is History.
I'll be writing all about it, tomorrow.

Tonight...
I feel like a 'Bag of Bones'.
: ) : ) : )
Pulled in, just a bit ago.
Sat down...
and poured myself a toddy.
: )
Was thinking back... on the time, Pal...Steph, went with... to Heart of Country, in Nashville.
We shared a booth.
I'd been there many times, but Steph had never been.
It was a Grueling trip...
{as always. ; ) }
getting the Trucks loaded here... in Iowa.
Then...a Long One Day Haul, to Nashville.
We were late... checking in at The Opryland Hotel.
As I was opening the door to our room, Steph said...
"By the way... where's the 'Gym'... in the Hotel?"
: )
I looked at her, and replied...
with much amusement,
"How in the Hell would I Know... ??!
: )
Look at Me!!"
: ) : ) : )
then, went on...
and said...
"Little Girl, after working at this 'Event', day after day...
and walking miles, to and from... the 'Show',
You... won't be thinkin' about 'Working Out' at The Gym."
: )
Steph... fired back.
" Oh, Yes I Will!! : ) I HAVE to Work Out... Every Day!!"

uh huh...
: )
Steph found The Gym... the next morning.
After she returned from her 'Workout'...
we headed to The Convention Center,
worked 14 hours, then... walked back to our room, about a mile away.
I opened the door to our room, Steph... slowly walked inside....
threw herself on her bed, laid there for a minute, without speaking...
then, said...
"I feel... like a 'Bag of Bones'."
{Didn't have the 'Heart'... to tell Steph,
'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet'.
: )
We'd Only 'Just' Begun... }
Needless to say, Steph never went back to the
'Resort'... to 'Work Out' after that First morning.

but... I've often thought of Steph's Perfect analysis
of how ya 'feel',
after working an 'Event'.
