The Mindeb was a river of Beleriand, a northern tributary to the Sirion.
The Mindeb began in the Ered Gorgoroth near the Pass of Anach, and was met by a tributary coming from the Crissaegrim. It formed the boundary between Dimbar and Nan Durgotheb. It formed the western border of the forest of Neldoreth in Doriath and was part of the Girdle of Melian. According to Karen Wynn Fonstad's The Atlas of Middle-earth, the river was about fifty miles in length.[1]
