The river Shirebourn separated the Eastfarthing and Southfarthing of The Shire.
The river had its source from Green-Hill Country about ten miles from Pincup. It was joined by Thistle Brook near the village of Willowbottom, and then flowed into the Brandywine near Deephallow and the Overbourn Marshes.[1]
