"Amateurs seek the sun and get eaten. Power stays in the shadows".
Oppenheimer is a cinematic masterpiece!! Cillian Murphy as Robert Oppenheimer shines brightly, as do Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt in their supporting roles.
Oppenheimer perfectly showcases how the brilliant and best minds of physics came together to defeat evil, but in doing so, they created something much more evil that changed the world forever.
Loved the build-up to the Trinity test; the eagerness, the expectations, the anxiety, and the sheer magnitude of it were just exceptional.
But it was the juxtaposition of the speech sequence where Oppie becomes aware of what he has done and the inner turmoil he experiences was terrifyingly brilliant.
You know the sound design was fantastic when it manages to send tremors throughout your entire body. And the editing was goated fr.
AND THAT ENDING, IT WAS SPINE CHILLING TO SAY THE LEAST.
