I am a Christopher Nolan fanatic, so it is no surprise that I loved this movie. This has been my most anticipated release ever, and it delivered on all fronts. Say what you want about Nolan, but no other director could have pulled off telling a story of this magnitude.
Never before have I seen such an exceptionally talented cast from so many diverse acting backgrounds. Although the score didn’t leave as much of a lasting impression compared to Nolan’s other films (edit: I totally regret saying this), there wasn’t much room for anything other than intense music accompanying the fast-paced nature of the story. In terms of writing, Nolan’s signature non-linear storytelling is executed better than he’s ever done before, filled with some of the most gripping dialogue I have ever heard.
Oppenheimer is a complex and continually evolving story that demands your utmost attention in order for you to gain anything meaningful from it. If you don’t have the attention span to sit through a film dramatizing the most important story in human history, then you will never be able to fully grasp the essence of cinema.
