i hate to be the party pooper here, but this movie is horrible. i'm not even a diehard fan of the first one, yet this still managed to feel offensively bad to me. i was damn near over it before beetlejuice had even made an appearance... there is no level of nostalgia that could've saved this. i guess tim burton just wanted to get some of that requel money? this type of quirk simply does not work
in 2024. it's too polished and grandiose, for it to have the same effect that it had back in the 80's. 
especially, if you're going to write it this poorly. 
this was a corny, unnecessary, mess. the only highlight was the quick mario bava reference.
