I got exactly what I wanted out of this film: to have a fun time.
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice lives up to the hype.
This film oozes with a classic Tim Burton feel - a goofy, weird deliverance by Burton that I feel like he hasn’t shown in a really long time. The feel we fell in love with in the original. It pays off big time for the film.
I love how it stays true to the original with its weirdness and feel, but also creates its own path.
Michael Keaton having more screen time pays off tremendously as he hasn’t lost a step as Beetlejuice. He was flawless. Catherine O’Hara stole the show as she was HILARIOUS.
It’s a BUSY movie. There’s a storyline that I feel like wasn’t needed at all and kinda fell flat. Luckily, it doesn’t take away from the movie.
This isn’t an Oscar award winning film. This isn’t the best film of the year. But Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice is a hell of a great time and flashed me back to my childhood.
