A film made for people who watch "movie ending explained" videos on YouTube, entirely designed for TikTok impressions. Drenched in droning "screenwriter" dialogue where you smell the smugness in each word being spoken, Longlegs offers nothing for old and new horror fans alike. Characters do things because they are meant to do them, they go to places because they have to be there. Unsubtle horror cliches are lost in a mist of boring monotone and tiresome exposition. Derivative in form and substance, you've seen this movie before. And it's not even scary!
