This page describes rules that should be followed when editing any content in this wiki and in its non-English versions. This page exists to comply with Fandom's Wiki Rules and Blocking Policy, which we need to follow so that this wiki's admins can block malicious accounts that vandalize the wiki.

Don't worry about making honest mistakes - you won't be blocked for that! :-) People acting in good faith to add accurate, clear, and complete information about Habitica generally at most are approached to discuss a mistake they make, in the event one happens.
This wiki's admins are generally long-time contributors to Habitica and Habitica Wiki. They will block accounts that break the following rules.
- Do not insert meaningless text into any pages on the wiki (e.g., gibberish such as "alkdjsflsdjf").
- Do not add advertisements for any websites or services that are not related to Habitica, task management, productivity, self-improvement, or closely related topics.
- Do not add adult content, obscenities, slurs, or insults.
- Do not add false information that is deliberately intended to mislead people for malicious or mischievous reasons.
- Do not delete useful information for malicious or mischievous reasons.
If you have been blocked and believe in good faith that you shouldn't have been blocked, you can appeal the block by following the guidelines suggested in the "How blocks should be appealed" section of the Fandom's Wiki Rules and Blocking Policy page.
Inactive accounts with elevated user rights may have those rights removed in order to prevent potential damage to the wiki if an inactive account were to become compromised/hacked.
Page protection (prevention of editing of a specific page by certain users) on Habitica Wiki is extremely rare but may happen in cases where it is specifically warranted, typically cases of persistent vandalism or on high-traffic pages like the main page or pages with display or policy implications. Pages can also be protected in the very extremely rare instance where keeping a page in a specific state is desirable; very very very few pages should ever warrant this type of protection as wikis are by their very nature a living resource that virtually always can be improved upon.
