Spicy Shards are a resource harvested with an Insect Hammer or Black Ox Hammer from Spicy Candy. They can also be obtained as loot from Buried Treasure. They are mainly used in crafting Spicy Globs, Spicy Jewels, and Spicy Arrows, but they can also be eaten as a snack. Consuming Spicy Shards contributes to the player unlocking and progressing the Spicy Safety mutation.
It can sometimes be obtainable as loot from the Holiday Tree, during December.
It can also be obtained from Easter Eggs in the month of April.
