Normal Attack Performs up to 6 consecutive shots with a bow. Charged Attack Performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. While aiming, the power of Hydro will accumulate on the arrowhead. An arrow fully charged with the torrent will deal Hydro DMG and apply the Riptide status. Riptide Opponents affected by Riptide will suffer from AoE Hydro DMG effects when attacked by Tartaglia in various ways. DMG dealt in this way is considered Normal Attack DMG. Riptide Flash: A fully-charged Aimed Shot that hits an opponent affected by Riptide deals consecutive bouts of AoE DMG. Can occur once every 0.7s. Riptide Burst: Defeating an opponent affected by Riptide creates a Hydro burst that inflicts the Riptide status on nearby opponents hit. Plunging Attack Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact. When Tartaglia is in Foul Legacy: Raging Tide's Melee Stance, he cannot perform a plunging attack. When Riptide Flash hits at least one enemy, it generates 1 Elemental Particle. This particle generation has a cooldown of 3 seconds. This cooldown is shared with the Riptide Slash particle generation. Normal Attack bonuses from artifacts or weapons affect the damage of Riptide Flash and Riptide Burst. Riptide Flash is not affected by damage fall off due to being not a part of the Fully Charged Aimed Shot. If an attack that would apply Riptide (e.g., Fully Charged Aimed Shot, Riptide Burst, 4th ascension passive Swords of Torrent triggering, and Havoc: Obliteration Ranged Stance version) to an enemy who is not affected by Riptide, would deal enough damage to kill it, Riptide will still be applied, causing Riptide Burst to trigger immediately. 	Foul Legacy: Raging Tide	Elemental Skill
Unleashes a set of weaponry made of pure water, dealing Hydro DMG to surrounding opponents and entering Melee Stance. In this Stance, Tartaglia's Normal and Charged Attacks are converted to Hydro DMG that cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion and change as follows: Normal Attack Performs up to 6 consecutive Hydro strikes. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash a cross slash, dealing Hydro DMG. Riptide Slash Hitting an opponent affected by Riptide with a melee attack unleashes a Riptide Slash that deals AoE Hydro DMG. DMG dealt in this way is considered Elemental Skill DMG, and can only occur once every 1.5s. After 30s, or when the ability is unleashed again, this skill will end. Tartaglia will return to his Ranged Stance and this ability will enter CD. The longer Tartaglia stays in his Melee Stance, the longer the CD. If the return to a ranged stance occurs automatically after 30s, the CD is even longer. The cooldown does not start until Melee Stance ends. When Riptide Slash hits at least one enemy, it generates 1 Elemental Particle. This particle generation has a cooldown of 3 seconds. This cooldown is shared with the Riptide Flash particle generation. The Riptide Slash AoE has quadratic scaling against mobs of enemies that are grouped together. That is, suppose there are $n$ enemies each affected by Riptide grouped close together. If Tartaglia uses his Elemental Skill to attack the n enemies in the cluster at once, it will trigger Riptide Slash for each enemy. Each Riptide Slash will do local AoE damage hitting surrounding enemies. So there will be $n$ Riptide Slashes, each hitting $n-1$ enemies. In total, there will be $n + n(n-1) = n^2$ instances of damage against $n$ enemies for each time Tartaglia procs Riptide Slash in melee stance. So for mobs grouped close together (e.g., via Crowd Control abilities of Sucrose, Kazuha, The Viridescent Hunt, etc.), Tartaglia's Riptide Slash DMG will scale quadratically with the number of enemies in the cluster. Tartaglia's Interruption Resistance is increased while in Melee Stance. In Melee stance Plunging Attacks are disabled. The stance switch animations will be skipped if this skill is used while walking or running. However, Stance Switch DMG will still be dealt when switching to Melee Stance. Return to Ranged Stance Icon Passive Effects Passive Talent 2, Sword of Torrents: "When Tartaglia is in Foul Legacy: Raging Tide's Melee stance, on dealing a CRIT hit, Normal and Charged Attacks apply the Riptide status effects to opponents." Artifacts and Weapons Interactions Normal Attack effects apply to Ranged Stance and Melee Stance. Also affects the damage of Riptide Flash and Riptide Burst. Charged Attack effects apply to his Ranged Stance's Aimed Shot and Melee Stance's Charged Attack. Effects that require an arrow to be fired, such as the passives of Amos' Bow and Slingshot, cannot be triggered in Melee Stance. Effects that require hitting weak spots, such as the passive of Prototype Crescent, can be triggered in Melee Stance. Elemental Skill effects apply to the initial Melee Stance change and Riptide Slash. Cooldown The cooldown is linear in the time spent (duration) in Melee Stance. The data are retrieved from in-game testing. At Constellation 0, it is represented by the function: $CD = \begin{cases} 6 + \lfloor\text{Duration}\rfloor & 0 \le \text{Duration} < 30 \\ 45 & \text{Duration} = 30 \end{cases}$ The duration in Melee Stance starts from the moment the Elemental Skill is used. This includes the 1-second cooldown in which Tartaglia cannot return to Ranged Stance without switching to another character. 	Havoc: Obliteration	Elemental Burst
Performs different attacks based on what stance Tartaglia is in when casting. Ranged Stance: Flash of Havoc Swiftly fires a Hydro-imbued magic arrow, dealing AoE Hydro DMG and applying the Riptide status. Returns a portion of its Energy Cost after use. Melee Stance: Light of Obliteration Performs a slash with a large AoE, dealing massive Hydro DMG to all surrounding opponents, which triggers Riptide Blast. Riptide Blast When the obliterating waters hit an opponent affected by Riptide, it clears their Riptide status and triggers a Hydro Explosion that deals AoE Hydro DMG. DMG dealt in this way is considered Elemental Burst DMG. The Melee Stance version of this Elemental Burst drains energy later than most others. For more information on Riptide, see Cutting Torrent. If an enemy would die in one hit from the Range Stance version, Riptide Burst will still trigger, even if the enemy did not have Riptide applied to them before using the Elemental Burst. If an enemy with Riptide dies from the first hit of the Melee Stance version, both Riptide Blast and Riptide Burst will trigger. If an enemy dies to the Riptide Blast effect of this Elemental Burst, it will not trigger Riptide Burst from Cutting Torrent, as the Riptide status is consumed first to apply the damage of Riptide Blast. After the Melee Stance Elemental Burst hits an enemy with Riptide, there is a 0.8s delay before Riptide Blast occurs and the removal of Riptide. If Riptide naturally expires during this delay, Riptide Blast will still trigger. Increases your own party members' Normal Attack Level by 1. Tartaglia must be in the active party for Master of Weaponry to take effect, but he does not need to be alive. In Co-Op Mode, this passive does not apply to other characters outside your own. So it is not possible to stack this beyond Level 11 Normal Attack.
