Overview
Forsaken Shores is an island added on the 1.05.0 update. It is a part of the Forsaken Shores Expansion Update, the island is located southwest of Roslit Bay.
Its GPS coordinates: X: -2427, Y: 133, Z: 1557.
Upon arriving at the pirate-themed island, the player will see a skull shaped cave at the center with small sea stacks surrounding the island. A new merchant named Cort also inhabits the island. There is also a skull shaped cave where you can buy the Scurvy Rod for 50,000 C$.
Forsaken Shores has 11 types of fish in total, 2 Common, 2 Uncommon, 2 Unusual, 2 Rare, 1 Legendary and 2 Mythical. Completing the Forsaken Shores Bestiary will grant the player the Pirate Wheel Bobber or Skull Bobber.
It is recommended to grind Captain's Goldfish in the pond under the waterfall using a rod with high luck stats such as Mythical Rod, or if you're a beginner, Fortune Rod, and to use Truffle Worms (their preferred bait). You can also grind these fish for good amount of XP.
Trivia
- The name of this island is probably a reference to Sea of Thieves "Forsaken Shores" update, one of the game's biggest updates.
- There is a secret door behind the Scurvy Rod, by using shift-lock you can see a cave with gold and two treasure chests, but Now that room seems like changed to be TNT room to unlock Atlantis.
- The island used to have a Captain's Goldfish abundance in the pond with the waterfall, which was removed as it coincidentally became the most efficient spot to farm cash in the game.
- There is also levers scattered around the map, serves as a Mission you have to do in order to reach Atlantis.
- The pirate NPC Jack Marrow is a reference to Captain Jack Sparrow from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean".
- This island's Legendary and Mythical fish doesn't deal any progress speed decrease, while Rare fishes does deal (-30% and -50%)
