Overview
The Brine Pool is an area with a large platform in the middle connected with a small bridge, surrounded in acid that can only be fished in by the Reinforced Rod, and can be entered with a Glider from the Desolate Deep's shop, making this one of the only three locations with a paywall, the other ones being the Desolate Deep, and the Keeper's Altar.
When you stand in the green geysers, you will sit down and it has a slight chance of flinging you. The Brine Pool requires 23,900C$ (Basic Diving Gear to enter Desolate Deep, Reinforced Rod and Glider) to enter and fish in, making it the second most expensive location to fish in, only being succeeded by the Northern Expedition fishing spots.
Making a left turn in the cave's entrance tunnel just before the bridge in the center will take you to the Desolate Pocket, where you can buy the Aurora Totem for 500,000 C$.
Swimming in the Brine pools will kill the player, making them lose up to 2000C$.
Entrance
The Brine Pool can be accessed via a small cave located at X: -1720, Y: -175, Z: -3115, north-west of the main Desolate Deep island, near the Phantom Ray spot. Here, you'll find a subtle series of steps and plank bridges leading up to the cave. Jump up these steps and walk across these planks to get to the entrance to the Brine Pool. You'll encounter areas where plank bridges have fallen and been broken, leaving a gap you cannot walk or jump across. Use your Glider to cross these gaps.

Trivia
- Despite the fact that Stalactites and Coral Geodes can be fished up, they do not appear in the Brine Pool Bestiary page as it is already included in the Desolate Deep's Bestiary.
- The Spectral Serpent has a design referencing Subnautica, looking like the Ghost Leviathan.
- Formerly, the Eyefestation was able to be caught here. However, due to a request, it was removed from the game and replaced with the Brine Phantom.
- If you will decide to go fishing in the Dweller Catfish abundance area there's a chance that 'Shake' button will stop appearing and you won't be able to catch any fish. You can fix it by re-equipping your rod however.
- Swimming in the brine will cause you to instantly die.
