"Wish-Tar" is the twenty-second episode of the Disney Channel and Marvel Animation series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
Synopsis[]
When The Beyonder gives an arcade machine the ability to grant wishes, Lunella is pumped to use it.
Plot[]
Lunella learns that one of her favorite artists, Bobby the Myth, has released a new video showcasing him wearing a pair of shoes that become a hit. Casey points this out, but Lunella ignores it. When they go to school everyone has a pair. Lunella attempts to get her parents to buy the shoes, but they are too expensive. She attempts to make counterfeit alternatives, but everyone sees right through them due to Devil accidentally painting the logo red instead of green. James Jr. buys a machine called Wish-Tar which supposedly grants wishes. Lunella sarcastically asks for cheese dip, 20 dollars, and the shoes. By sheer chance, all three of these things come true, as well as James Jr.'s wish for caviar.
Wish-Tar is revealed to be possessed by the Beyonder who tells Lunella that he wants to start a new life and offers to grant her any wish. Due to the increase in drip that Bobby the Myth keeps pushing in his videos, all the children start wearing new swag. Lunella and Casey try to keep up by having Beyonder grant wishes for them, but keep being one step behind the new trend or fad. When Bobby the Myth finally announces a concert in New York City, Lunella comes up with the idea to wish for Bobby to come and play at Roll With It. Sure enough, Beyonder grants this wish with Bobby inexplicably showing up and setting up his concert there.
Things seem to go fine until Bobby announces that he needs a new piano. Lunella wishes for the "baddest" piano and it is delivered. When Bobby plays it, he is suddenly possessed and starts to cause damage to Roll With It. Lunella rushes everyone out with Beyonder revealing that he granted the wish exactly as she asked. Lunella calls him a bad friend and that she wishes never to see him again, which he complies, destroying Wish-Tar. Lunella realizes that it is her fault and defeats Bobby, who goes back to normal. Lunella accepts that she shouldn't try to keep up with fads and tells Casey that she thinks she may have genuinely hurt Beyonder's feelings.

Trivia[]
- Bobby the Myth is most likely based on rapper Tyler, the Creator.
- Wish-Tar is based on the fortune teller robot Zoltar, a mass produced coin operated amusement park and arcade machine that gives predictions, fortunes or "grants" wishes.
- Morals: Chasing trends is pointless and what matters is being an individual. Never take advantage of people and be a bad friend.
