"Shush Hour" is the first segment of the twenty-seventh episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
Synopsis[]
Gretel does a school project on herself while Kevin and Hamster stop a librarian villain.
Plot[]
At school, Ms. Jamanpour gives her class an assignment in which they must talk about their hero, with Gretel choosing to do hers about herself after Bailey is asked to choose another topic. However, Gretel procrastinates until the day before the assignment is due, prompting Kevin to take her to the library to do research. While there, Kevin overhears the librarian unveiling her plan to make the entire city as quiet as her library using her Shush-inator. Unable to contact Hamster and Gretel due to confiscating their phones for the duration of their research session, Kevin attempts to intervene, only to have his voice stolen. Meanwhile, Hamster and Gretel find that the majority of the instances in which they saved the city were the result of Kevin's ideas.
As the librarian silences everyone and everything in town, Kevin encounters a book detailing how to reflect sound, which inspires him to use his, Hamster, and Gretel's phones to play kazoo songs in order to distract the librarian. Eventually, Kevin manages to destroy the Shush-inator, reversing its silencing effects. Hamster and Gretel then arrive to defeat the librarian, after which Gretel decides to use Kevin as her research topic.
