"I Think Therefore I Slam" is the first segment of the thirty-seventh episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
On September 18, 2024, the episode was released early on Disney+.
Synopsis[]
Gretel tries to hang with the cool kids and must protect them from a disgraced mascot.
Plot[]
While at school making sponge art, Gretel and Bailey are mesmerized by Colleen and her group of older kids. Wishing to be as laid back and cool as them, the girls seek advice from Fred, who simply tells them to "not care," which they take to heart. However, they struggle to maintain their act once they are invited to join the group. Meanwhile, the children's beverage company Slamonade fires their long-serving mascot Slamonade Sam due to his poor reception from focus groups―one of which included Colleen and her friends. Refusing to accept this, Stan engages in a rampage at the school and attacks Colleen and her friends.
With Colleen exposing a more vulnerable and fearful side of herself, Bailey leads the group to safety. At the same time, Gretel attempts to subdue Stan, only for his unbreakable exterior to provide a challenge for her. Seeing their sponge art from earlier inspires Gretel to use the school's surplus of sponges to absorb the liquid inside Stan, leading to his defeat and arrest. Later, with the cool kids' table destroyed during the rampage, Gretel and Bailey allow Colleen and her friends to join them at their table.
