William Hamzy is a former Republican member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 78 from 1995 to 2011. He served as the deputy minority leader.
Biography
Hamzy's professional experience includes working as an attorney with Hamzy and Conlin, Limited Liability Company.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Information Technology and Telecommunications Task Force of the American Legislative Exchange Council, Bristol Bar Association, Bristol Federal Hill Association, Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce, Law and Justice Committee, National Conference of State Legislatures, and the Terryville Polish-American Political Club.[1]

On November 4, 2008, Hamzy won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 78th District, defeating Jacqui Denski (D and WF). Hamzy received 6,277 votes in the election while Denski received 3,870 votes.[2] Hamzy raised $29,800 for his campaign; Denski raised $30,569.[3]
