Ricky Hayes (Republican Party) is a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 51. He assumed office in 2019. His current term ends on January 8, 2025.
Hayes (Republican Party, Independent Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 51. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
As of September 2019, Ricky Hayes is a resident of northeast Connecticut. He graduated from Putnam High School in 1977. Hayes served on the Putnam Police Department and as Putnam Chief of Police for his last 12 years of service. He is also is a certified fire marshal in the Town of Thompson. He was a founding member of the first regional multi-disciplinary investigation team for child abuse and is founding member of Wendy’s Place, the first regional child abuse center. He was recognized for his dedication to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse by the American Prosecutors Research Institute in 2003.[1]
