Thomas G. Wilson is a federal magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He was first appointed to this position on April 9, 1979. His current term expired on April 8, 2019.[1][2][3]
Education
Judge Wilson received his B.A. degree from Michigan State University in 1961 and his LL.B. from Duke University School of Law in 1964.[1]
Career
Judge Wilson began his career in 1964 as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Joseph P. Lieb. He worked in this capacity until 1966. From 1970 to 1972, he clerked for Circuit Judge Paul H. Roney and worked as a Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. In 1970, he also worked briefly for the law firm Miller and McKendree. He joined the Appellate Section of the Civil Division of the Department of Justice in 1972, where he worked as an attorney until his 1979 judicial appointment.[1]
