The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[1] Juan Barnett defeated Trey Chinn and Deborah Woullard in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Barnett ran unchallenged in the District 34 general election.
