Angela Burks Hill (Republican Party) is a member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 40. She assumed office in 2012. Her current term ends on January 4, 2028.

Biography
Hill graduated from Pearl River Community College and earned her B.S. in Science Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her professional experience includes teaching at Pearl River Central Elementary and Roseland Park Baptist Church Academy and working for Paul Bounds Inc., a small Picayune-based business.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[1] No Democratic candidates filed for election. Incumbent Angela Hill was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hill ran unchallenged in the District 40 general election.
