Biography
Albert Butler earned a B.S. from Alcorn State University and an M.S. from Jackson State University. His career experience includes working as a business owner and farmer.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Incumbent Albert Butler defeated Elvis Colenberg Sr. and Jeffery Harness in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Butler ran unchallenged in the District 36 general election.
