Elections for the Oregon State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Elizabeth Steiner Hayward was unopposed in the Democratic primary. John Verbeek was unopposed in the Republican primary. Steiner Hayward also ran on the Independent and Working Families Party tickets and Verbeek also ran on the Libertarian ticket. Steiner Hayward defeated Verbeek in the general election.[5][6][7]
