To Jihadis - 聖戦を戦う人たちに

It is wrong to take someone hostage to punish someone else. For this simple reason, those two hostages in your hands need to be released. The world has had too many cases of collective punishment. I am against any forms of retaliation by association.

It is also wrong to put a $100 million price tag on somebody on the one hand, while you treat the lives of thousands of your neighbors as if they are totally worthless on the other. I believe in the fundamental equality of all human beings, and therefore I resent your complete disregard of fairness.

It is again wrong to resort to provocation. You think our prime minister has made a stupid decision. What makes you think that he won't make yet another bad decision and try to avenge himself - causing innumerable collateral damage to your sisters and brothers, daughters and sons?

And I think it is absolutely wrong that you are doing what your God does not want. But let me assure you. Your sisters and brothers in faith will not suffer from your actions. I will walk with them. I promise.
