Directions: Encircle the correct action word
for each picture.

Activity 2: LEARNING TOGETHER
Family stories are fun to tell and listen
to .They help us share our lives together. What
are you going to do when somebody is reading

This is mother. She cooks our food every day.

This is John my brother. He waters the plants.
This is Maica and me. We wash our clothes
This is my baby sister. She plays her doll.
We are one happy family.
The words drives, cooks, waters, wash, and plays
are examples of action words.
Action words – are words that show and tell what a
person, an animal, or a thing does. They are also called
Verbs.
Here are more examples of action words.
carry skip hold kick
walk catch sit jump
swim sweep hit hop
dig kneel drink think
laugh sing write study
Now, I’m sure you can help me find the action word in
