BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Artists in the 21st century have many means in creating art. Some artists use
new media art and digital storytelling to name a few. New media art is the use of the
latest technology in the creation of art while digital story telling is relatively a new
term.
Also, today’s artists are becoming mindful of the lushness of our natural
resources. There is also a consciousness to advance techniques and performance
practices that come from the customs and traditions of the regions and to apply them
in the present scenario. They are now making use of local and indigenous materials
for their artworks.

In contemporary art, mere manifestation might not be enough advancement

in expression to emerge with time. A novice contemporary artist who aspires to be
known in his/her field should learn how to be experimental and innovative.
With the lessons you have learned from the previous discussions, you are now
equipped, hopefully, to create artistic artworks- an artwork that not only you can be
proud of, but also, your family, friends, relatives or even your own locality as well.
