An inmate at State Correctional Institution at Dallas has died following a fight with another inmate, according to the state Department of Corrections.
Manuel Morales, 66, was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp. following a fight with an unidentified inmate on Dec. 25, officials said.
Morales died at 6:24 p.m. Jan. 13.
He was serving a one to five year sentence for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon out of Erie County and arrived at SCI Dallas on Feb. 27, 2024.
State police are investigating his death.
