Stanley Tucci's 4-Ingredient Midnight Snack Is Embarrassingly Simple

This one never gets old.

Whether you choose to admit it or not, we’re all guilty of tip-toeing to the kitchen in the wee hours of the morning to grab a quick snack. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t gone to bed yet or your hunger pangs were what woke you up—when those midnight cravings strike, they’re hard to ignore.

The question isn’t really if you enjoy a midnight snack but, rather, what you like to treat yourself to. For some of us, it’s a handful of Lay’s or a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup—for others, like Tim McGraw, it’s a bowl of Cocoa Puffs. For Stanley Tucci? It’s awfully similar to his adorably wholesome mid-day snack.

Stanley Tucci's Favorite Midnight Snack

You might recall Tucci admitted to enjoying a peanut butter sandwich whenever he wants a quick snack—and his midnight snack takes his love for the humble PB sandwich one step further.

“Peanut butter, banana, honey on toasted bread,” he told Katie Couric in a video posted to the journalist’s TikTok.

It seems Stanley Tucci is a big peanut butter guy but, again, shows no love for jelly. Instead of preserves, the actor sweetens up his toast with bananas and honey, which we can still get behind. Plus, peanut butter and bananas are a match made in snack heaven—just ask Elvis.

Tucci didn’t go into detail about the type of bread he uses, but we’d like to imagine it’s a delicious, crusty artisanal sourdough he and his wife Felicity (actress Emily Blunt’s sister) picked up from the farmer’s market.

In Couric’s rapid-fire Q&A, which she posted to congratulate Tucci on his new cookware line with GreenPan, we also learned that Tucci considers himself more of a savory fan than sweet. So, that might actually answer the question as to why he doesn’t choose PB&Js. It also makes sense when you see what Tucci cooks on his social media pages—we’re talking pasta, pasta, and more pasta…and sometimes the odd fish or soup.

It also might stem from the fact that Tucci says he “can’t bake anything.” Sadly, that likely rules out the notion that we’d ever get to see a Tucci-made biscotti or pizzelle. But, hey, maybe Tucci will one day grace our feeds with a tiramisu or panna cotta recipe—those are no bakes, after all.

For now, however, we’ll be happy knowing that Tucci can never say no to a childhood favorite..
