Product Reviews and Buying Guides We Tried Dozens of New Products This Month and These Are the 6 Worth Buying Snacks, snacks, and more snacks! By Bailey Fink Bailey Fink Bailey Fink is a devout home cook and assistant editor at Allrecipes. Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Published on September 29, 2023 As food reporters, we eat a lot. Essentially, every day, we’re taste-testing at least one new product, whether that's one launching at a fast food restaurant, coming to the grocery store, or making its viral debut on social media. Because we have tried so many products, we have a pretty good idea of what’s worthy of a gold star—and, more importantly, what’s something we’ll actually buy again after the initial tasting. This week, we tried about a dozen different newly launched, newly relaunched, or even just new-to-us snacks and found six products that are worth the hype—and worth picking up the next time you see them. So, from Allrecipes HQ to your kitchen, these are the best grocery products we tried this week—and the ones we think you should too. Brandon Bell/Getty Images Blue Diamond Thin Dipped Almonds Blue Diamond It’s been a great few months for Blue Diamond. First, the brand released its Honey Butter Almonds (which we also loved, by the way), and now it's rolling out a new line of Thin Dipped Almonds. The Thin Dipped Almonds are lightly coated in chocolate and contain ½ the sugar compared to a normal chocolate-covered almond, according to Blue Diamond. The new Thin Dipped Almonds come in two flavors—Double Dark Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel. The Double Dark Chocolate is just what you want from a chocolate-covered almond—it’s sweet and chocolatey, plus the toasty almond flavor really comes through. But the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel is worthy of its own love song. Every one of those flavors hits your taste buds individually but comes together to make a beautiful edible harmony—one you won’t be able to stop eating. Blue Diamond’s Thin Dipped Almonds are a Walmart exclusive, where you can buy them for about $3.50. Goldfish Dunkin' Pumpkin Spice Grahams Pepperidge Farm After a very successful 2022 run, Goldfish and Dunkin’ teamed up again to relaunch their Goldfish Dunkin' Pumpkin Spice Grahams just in time for fall. The grahams taste like a pumpkin spice donut rolled into a graham cracker, which is exactly what the two brands were going for. Goldfish says the grahams' flavor consists of pumpkin, donut glaze, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg—so, it’s not just your run-of-the-mill, slightly basic pumpkin spice product. Goldfish’s Dunkin’ grahams are the perfect sweet, poppable pick-me-up for a mid-afternoon snack. But be warned, you won’t be able to eat just one. Goldfish Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Grahams are available wherever Goldfish are sold (while supplies last) and cost about $3.70. Ted Lasso Biscuits With the Boss Mackenzie Limited There’s nothing better than seeing something from TV actually come to life. And as “Ted Lasso” fans, we couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration between Warner Bros and Mackenzie Limited. The two teamed up to bring Ted Lasso’s iconic shortbread biscuits to the real world with these Biscuits with the Boss cookies. The cookies taste just like the homemade shortbread cookies your grandma used to make. They’re buttery, crumbly, and have just the right amount of salty-sweetness. You can practically taste the love that Ted bakes into them. The Biscuits with the Boss shortbreads are an online exclusive that can be purchased on Mackenzie Limited’s site. The 10 cookies come in the same pink box that Ted brings AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (a.k.a. the boss) every morning. You can purchase them in a one-pack ($30), two-pack ($50), or three-pack ($70) for delivery to your doorstep. Dole Good Crunch Dole This year has been a big one for Dole; It rolled out its first-ever at-home Dole Whip product and these new Good Crunch fruit bites, all within the span of a few months. Good Crunch is a crunchy (and we mean very crunchy), light, sweet snack that’s made from dried fruit. Good Crunch comes in two different fruit varieties, Pineapple Bites and Banana Bites. Each snack only contains ingredient—the fruit itself—because they’re simply dehydrated pieces of fruit. Additionally, there is a third Good Crunch flavor, Pineapple Bites with Chili, that adds a spicy, tangy chili seasoning to the original Pineapple Bites. Good Crunch is the snack for when you’re craving something crunchy, yet sweet. You can probably assume that the fruit chips just taste like the fruit that they’re made from, but they’re somehow the best fruit chips we’ve ever tried. Dole Good Crunch is available on Amazon and at many Hannaford stores for about $4 per bag. Simple Mills Pop Mmms Simple Mills As you may know, we are big Cheez-It fans here at Allrecipes, so it’s rare to catch us munching on any cheesy snack cracker that isn’t made by that brand. But, recently, we’ve been reaching for these Pop Mmms from Simple Mills. Cheddar Pop Mmms Veggie Flour Baked Snack Crackers are crispy crackers that have a bold Cheddar cheese flavor—while also containing ½ cup of vegetables per serving. They’re made with butternut squash and red beans, but you'd never know. Really they're a light, ultra-crispy snack that you'll want to eat by the handful. Simple Mills’ Pop Mmms are sold at Kroger, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Amazon for about $5.40 per box. Wonderful Pistachios Seasoned Salt Wonderful Pistachios It’s a good month to be a nut lover—first the new Thin Dipped Almonds, and now this new flavor of pistachios from Wonderful Pistachios. The company recently released its newest flavor of in-shell pistachios, Seasoned Salt, which features a zesty blend of garlic, onion, and paprika—but it’s really so much more than that. We’ve described these pistachios as the nut version of Lay’s All-Dressed chips. They’re a delicious, savory mixture of smoky, garlicky, salty, barbecue-adjacent flavors that pack a punch because every nut is generously coated with seasoning. We constantly find ourselves reaching for the bag of these nuts, and because they’re protein-packed and heart-healthy, they make for a really great desk snack for when you need a mid-day munch. Wonderful Pistachios Seasoned Salt nuts are available at Sam’s Club, Walmart, and Kroger, where you’ll find them priced somewhere between $8 and $15 a bag. Was this page helpful?
