Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Updated on September 20, 2023 As long-time fans of Pringles, we know how tasty the chip is when you’re craving a salty snack. Whether you reach for the OG or one of its limited-time options—like the new Everything Bagel flavor—you know a Pringle is great on its own. However, recently, the internet has discovered that a Pringle can be much more than just a delicious chip that you can use to make a funny duck beak. Adobe Stock/Allrecipes The concept of “high-low” pairings—where you pair a traditionally higher-end food with a lower-end one—has been going viral for months. Obviously, it’s nothing new—many of us have been doing it for years, and it’s a technique that happens at many Las Vegas restaurants, like with Martha Stewart’s caviar-topped baked potato at her Bedford restaurant. But, this summer, one pairing had a huge social media moment thanks to the new cast of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Erin Lichy, one cast member, served Pringles and caviar at a group get-together, which was met with some judgment from her castmates. Despite the backlash, it caused many TikTok users to try the pairing, which led to the search “caviar and pringles” having over 10 billion views on the platform. Pringles Launches Crisps and Caviar Collection Pringles With that much interest around the snack pairing, Pringles knew it had to deliver what fans wanted. So, the brand teamed up with The Caviar Co. for a new collaboration, the Crisps and Caviar Collection. The collab will allow you to try Pringles and caviar in three ways with its different kits—all at different price points, starting at $49. The Smoky Shores kit features Pringles Sour Cream & Onion crisps paired with Smoked Trout Roe and crème fraîche—plus a serving tray inspired by Mr. P’s iconic bowtie—for $49. The Salt of the Sea kit includes Pringles Original crisps paired with buttery Classic White Sturgeon Caviar and crème fraîche—plus the Mr. P serving tray—for $110. Finally, the Crisps and Caviar Flight has both the Classic White Sturgeon Caviar and savory Smoked Trout Roe paired with a “flight” of Pringles flavors—including Original, Sour Cream & Onion, and BBQ—for $140. The expertly paired crisps and caviar kits go on sale beginning September 19 at 12 p.m. EST. You’ll only be able to purchase them online, so if you want to try the chic pairing, head to PringlesandCaviar.shop to get your hands on a kit. There will be a limited number of kits dropped each day while supplies last, so if you can’t score one on September 19, you can try again in the following days. If you’re a little skeptical about how good Pringles and caviar could actually be—just know, we tried it, and it’s certainly one you don’t want to knock until you’ve tasted it. Was this page helpful?
