We get to talk to some of our favorite celebrities, travel to unique locales, and most of all—try new products before they come out. And while it may seem like I'm just bragging here, I bring this up because it helps the editors at Allrecipes tell you what's worth your hard-earned money and attention at the grocery store. And that's certainly the case with the latest additions from Ben & Jerry's, one of our favorite ice cream brands and scoop shops. That's right: the Vermont-based ice cream maker has two new pints coming to stores nationwide to kick 2024 off on a sweet foot and ruin resolutions everywhere. How do I know? Because I got a first taste of both and these pints are some of the best I've ever tried. Ben & Jerry's Introduces New PB S’more & Impretzively Fudged Pints Ben & Jerry's Ben & Jerry's just announced two new pints joining its ice cream line-up: PB S’more & Impretzively Fudged. Both "flavor innovations" were diligently designed by Ben & Jerry's Flavor Gurus, the ice cream engineers behind every B & J pint, and inspired by current trends and fan requests. The first, Impretzively Fudged, features chocolate ice cream with fudge-covered pretzel pieces and pretzel swirls mixed in. I can't tell you what a "pretzel swirl" is exactly, but if you're a chocolate lover or someone who needs a little salty with their sweet, this pint is for you. "Swalty" (aka sweet and salty) is clearly having a moment, and this pint fits right in. If you want to take it over the edge, Flavor Gurus suggest topping it with crumbled potato chips to enhance the flavor even more. The second flavor, PB S’more, features a toasted marshmallow ice cream with peanut butter cups, graham cracker pieces, and marshmallow swirls. It has extra large pieces of peanut butter cups— (perhaps) the biggest chunks to date, according to Ben & Jerry's. And if you know Ben & Jerry's, you know its flavors are all about the chunks and mix-ins. This flavor came straight from the mouths of fans: "We heard our fans’ pleas for chocolate peanut butter cups and we were excited to include them in our take on such a nostalgic dessert," said Flavor Guru José Ureña in a press release. And let me be the first to say: thank you fans! Holy moly, words cannot describe this pint. The toasted marshmallow ice cream alone would be enough to keep me coming back. Add in the enormous chunks of peanut butter cups (we're talking basically full cups) and gooey marshmallow swirls, and you're pretty much guaranteed to devour this a pint at a time. It tastes like a fluffernutter sandwich meets a s'more in the best way, and hits all the nostalgic notes of my favorite childhood treats. For those dairy-free friends, the brand also recently released a new non-dairy version of a fan favorite: Strawberry Cheezecake. I also got to try this flavor back in December and was more than pleasantly surprised. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I've tried a lot of non-dairy ice cream, and this flavor was one of the best I've tried yet, thanks in huge part to Ben & Jerry's newly reformulated non-dairy base. The Strawberry Cheezcake should already be in stores nationwide, and the PB S'more and Impretzively Fudged should start to pop up across shelves soon. They'll also all be available in local Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops. All three pints are permanent additions to the Ben & Jerry's lineup, so while you don't necessarily need to rush to try them, that won't stop me from running to my grocery store to stock up.
