We’re stocking up before they disappear again.

It was just around this time last year when we fell for a seasonal savory snack at Trader Joe’s, and although we’d just been introduced, we knew our time with them was short.

The limited-time-only item made a flavorful impact, but then, to customers’ surprise and dismay, were hastily pulled from the shelves. Some stores even gave away free bags to lucky shoppers to quickly get rid of the surplus stock. We didn’t think we’d ever be reunited with the crave-worthy chips again.

That is until we spotted them on shelves again this month. That’s right—the Salsa Verde Tortilla Chips are back at Trader Joe’s.

If you’re unfamiliar with these fan-favorite TJ's chips, here’s the rundown.

The white corn-based chips are seasoned with a green pepper spice blend made from the store's very own tomatillo-based salsa verde recipe. They're mildly spicy, vibrant, and zesty—like more sophisticated Doritos. This innovative chip offers a two-in-one experience that allows you to (dare we say?) skip the salsa.

Trader Joe’s offers a wide variety of corn chips, but trust us, these are far and away the best variation. In fact, one Reddit user pronounced them their “absolute favorite chips from all chips in existence.” Made from a white corn masa that’s cut and fried, the chips have an incredibly crunchy texture that’s unique to other offerings. Another perk: they’re gluten-free.

Crumble them up and they’ll make a "tantalizingly tasty" coating on a chicken breast or topping on a king ranch casserole. No surprise—they also make for the best nachos and homemade chilaquiles.

This salsa-fied chip is perfect for taco night, football season festivities, or any salty snack craving. Between the spicy kick, satisfying crunch, and hint of lime, you’ll be halfway through the $2.99 bag in no time, salsa or no salsa.

So run, don’t walk, to Trader Joe’s to get these chips before they’re gone again, and check out another new customer obsession while you’re hunting the aisles.
