Following that, it’s gotta be some sort of chips and dip. Whether it’s onion dip and potato chips, basic ranch dip and veggies, hummus and pita, or salsa and tortillas, if there’s no dip somewhere in the food spread, are you really doing football food the right way? If you want to venture outside the usual dips, but don’t want to do much work (we love you hot crab dip but you take a while) there’s a dump-and-mix ranch-inspired corn dip on Instagram that’s just begging for you to give it a try. Easy, No-Cook Cool Ranch Corn Dip On her grilledcheesesocial Instagram account, MacKenzie Smith threw together a dip that looks so good, we just had to share it. Cookbook author Smith—who is also a winner of two different Guy Fieri “Grocery Games” competitions on Food Network—clearly has some chops in the kitchen. She shared her Cool Ranch Corn Dip recipe a couple of weeks ago, saying “It’s beyond easy to make and it gets better as it sits in the fridge—making it perfect for prepping the night before!” She likes to serve it with crinkle-cut potato chips such as Ruffles, but you can dip whatever you want into it as long as it's sturdy enough to handle all the goodness. The dip is full of canned Southwestern-style corn, canned diced green Hatch chiles, sour cream, shredded cheddar (she used Tillamook), a packet of ranch seasoning (or make your own ranch seasoning with spices you already have on your rack), chopped pickled jalapeños, and scallions. You can get the specific recipe for this ranchy, creamy corn dip on her website. It takes about 10 minutes to mix it all together, and you’re done—ready to dig in. Refrigerate this satisfying dip for a couple of hours or overnight (if you can wait that long) and give it one good stir before serving it. “I need this for football Sunday!” one of Smith’s Instagram followers exclaimed. And others sang the dish's praises with comments like “Looks spectacular and delicious” and another who has made the recipes said, “Everyone who tries it loves it. & it's so freaking easyyy.” Cool Ranch Corn Dip Is Perfect for Sturdy Chips, and More What can you scoop this creamy dip up with besides potato chips? We have some ideas. Tortilla chips Raw veggies such as carrots, celery, or strips of red bell pepper Crostini Salt and Garlic Bagel Chips Pita Chips Crackers Twisted bacon The best thing about this dip is that you don’t have to wait for football Sunday to make it.
