Parasitica ( () (せい) (かい) Kiseikai?) is one of the 13 worlds featured in Versus. Humanity's natural enemy in this world is the Parasites.[1]

Overview[]

The theme of Parasitica is most likely to be set during the early 20th century in Europe. In particular, the outfits of this world's officers bear a striking resemblance to those of Germany during World War II.[1] The building architecture shown consists of mostly two to three stories, Gable or Dormer roof style and noticeable brick walls without being covered in paint.[2] At one point, mysterious lifeforms known as parasites emerged and took control of most humans.

The technological level fits the 20th century European theme. Vintage car models can be found on the roads and even traces of old draining systems are present.[3] Furthermore, soldiers are equipped with rifles for combat and given direction by a soldier with binoculars.[4] Rifles can be improvised with the attachment of an umbrella to prevent contact with the victims' infected blood.[5] Pharmacy is advanced to produce pills to deter parasites, although a complete cure for them hasn't been found yet.
