Diganazal (ディーガナザル Dīganazaru?) was the 23rd Demon Lord.

Appearance[]

Diganazal bore a slight resemblance to capuchin and squirrel monkeys, with her slim body mostly covered in fur. In her calm state, her face appeared more human, but in her enraged state, her monkey-like features became prominent. She had long arms and large, dark eyes. Her long hair was styled into elaborate princess curls and bangs that covered her forehead. She wore an ornate tiara adorned with intricate designs. Her attire consisted of a long, flowing off the shoulder gown with bows on the chest and waist, giving her a majestic and authoritative appearance. She also carried a pair of large scissors at her waist, housed in their own scabbard.

Personality[]

Diganazal presented herself as a polite, kind, and courteous demon who claimed she helps weak demons and desired to make friends with others. Offering the giants, Ginbak and his sons, tea while offering them a spot to join her as friends. Having been fascinated by their muscles while having a desire to impress the Byakuo with her reserch.

Beneath her kindness however was simply a demon who only acts polite and truthfully sees others as ingredients for her chimeras. Storing those she called friends underneath her home to utilize as materials for her research while attempting to force Ginbak as another ingredient for herself. Selfish and narcissist, she brainwashes her victims to praise her name and has no problem with attacking others to become hers. She also looks down at those who are full-on power-types like Jachi and Ginbak, as she believes their methods aren't the best way to fight, which allows her to be versatile in a battle.

However, when slowly overwhelmed, Diganazal slowly becomes concerned and shocked, quick to beg to be spared. When this fails, she hurls insults and screams, being spiteful that she'd self-destruct just to kill Ginbak as he kills her. Enraged that someone of her status was being killed by someone who wasn't even half her age moments before she perished.

She also seemed to view those with more deformed appearances, such as Nyudo, as disgusting as she once glared at him. Thus reworking the many victims under her as more handsome to be pleasing in her eye.

Plot[]

Demon Lord Arc[]

Seeing the group of Titans led by Ginbak arrive at her castle, she offers them tea, while she is being praised by her subjects she sees Ginbak with a curious look and tells them that they should get along while the giants talk about killing her and eating her. The proffered tea is chomped on by a Titan and spit back at her. After Fecaccio deflects the shards, she accepts this as the cultures being different. Berser threatens her to send them back but she ignores him completely, noting the perfect muscle fibers the group possesses. Enthused by their physiques, she goes into a sales pitch of sorts with her formerly weak followers that were modified to be very strong and asks the giant to join them as friends/willingly subject themselves to the same experiments. Ultimately, the two family members rejected Diganazal's proposal completely, so she decides to use a language they understand and order her servants to attack. The majority are easily swatted aside by Ginbak, with the now chimera hero Fecaccio being the only exception owing to his speed. Ginbak then gives him a slightly higher effort slam that destroys the ground and kills him too. There they find where the demon lord keeps the materials for her monster fusions, still alive and hung up on the walls.

She gets even more excited at his overwhelming strength and with her scissors and extendable hair she takes uses the specimens to create her total release, giant chimera armor. Even larger than the titans, the giant of flesh clashes with Ginbak, and attempts to paralyze him using the tongues, imprison him in a web, piercing him and putting larvae in him to east at the inner organs to become a shell for a greater work. Ginbak brushes every bit of her words and actions off. With a simple sneeze he takes out the larvae, noting the massage was good enough for him to fall asleep. Diganazal is stunned and Ginbak says that she is boring and begins to crush her chimera with her still inside to make sure she couldn't run away, she calls for her slaves but they only begin to praise her as they had at the start and to her frustration. Having very little options, the demon lord begs for her life, but the merciless chief says that he is tired of listening to her pleas, ignoring her vengeful self destruction completely between his palms.[1]

Abilities[]

Diganazal is a researcher amongst the demon king's army. As such, while she can be assumed to be stronger than the average human, Diganazal showcases no fighting ability during her battle with Ginbak. Even so, she is vastly intelligent and is aware of ways to bring down others through methods beyond brute strength. Berser considers her powerful as such, realizing she can switch with different attacks when she manages to capture Ginbak and his sons. Even so, when battling Ginbak, she is slowly overwhelmed by the giant's immense power and is unable to do anything as he kills her in combat.

  • Chimera Research: Diganazal is very knowledgeable in the creation of chimeras, being the demon king's army researcher of the area. Knowing the method in making chimeras that she claims can enhance weak demons into powerful ones that could contend with top-class demons. This knowledge extends to even making chimeras from other species, such as humans and fairy's.
  • Chimera Creation: Using her knowledge, Diganazal can create Chimeras that are very powerful, using different materials that she can turn a former hero into a powerful minion for herself. Diganazal even managed to create a powerful chimera from the hero, Fecaccio, who she deemed her favorite. Using an unspecified power, Diganazal can even make an organic chimera suit on the fly within a few seconds by using the still-living bodies she's stored for herself. Having multiple abilities she gave it with the inherit knowledge to use them like so.
  • Piloting: When in combat, Diganazal inserts herself in an organic combat-suit that has many abilities she can use at ones.
  • Brainwashing: Diganazal has a method that erases the personality of her chimeras, making them loyal to her as they give their worship and praise under her name. However, while they do follow her commands, a majority have been to heavily damaged from the procedures that when calling for their aid in battle, they only praise her and no more.
  • Self-Destruct Magic: Utilized this with the idea that it could kill Ginbak alongside her. Though it did very little in the end against Ginbak's durability.
