Overview

Caleb and Julia are “frenemies” in Total Drama Island (2024).

Because of Caleb's early elimination, he does not interact with Julia in their debut season despite being placed on the same team. However, it is implied that Julia, like the rest of their team, voted for Caleb after being convinced by Bowie to do so. In their next season, they are placed on separate teams, where they have limited interactions again until the merge. Upon finding out Caleb's secret from Zee, Julia takes an interest to exploit his relationship with Priya to her own ends. Julia had attempted to offer Caleb an alliance in Breaking Up is Hard to Do. After this fails, she makes an effort to try making him regret it.

Julia tries coming between Caleb and Priya's relationship in Circling the Drain; she successfully makes the two act cold to one another, but is forced to compete against them after they made up. After realizing that he was at risk, Caleb had no option but to form an alliance with Julia. Caleb attempts to betray his alliance with Julia in Off the Hook!. He is left angered and saddened after Julia voted off his girlfriend Priya. This leads them into a huge rivalry during the season finale, with both wanting to outdo each other several times throughout the episode. However, their efforts to defeat each other are torn in half when Wayne wins the season.

Julia is paired up with Caleb for the challenge. Though unconfirmed, Julia may have been too one of the people Bowie persuaded to vote for Caleb.

Julia drops a log on Caleb, Emma, and Priya in attempts to completely halt their progress. However, Caleb managed to get up and literally carry most of his team to the finish, just coming short at the end. Julia and MK watched with a worried stare as Caleb had seemingly made it, before having undershot the finish line.

During the massive fight at the barge for supplies, Julia hopped onto Caleb’s head and repeatedly hit him with a frying pan. Caleb had later used his team’s kitchen quake remote as a way to slow Julia down.

Haulin' n' Ballin'

After realizing Zee’s secret could break up Caleb and Priya’s relationship, Julia does everything to try squeezing it out of him. Julia is one of only three people who doesn't show happiness with Caleb and Priya's first kiss, but finally shows her complete happiness after Zee reveals that Caleb “never liked” Priya and that he just wanted an alliance with her. Despite admitting she doesn't feel sorry for Priya, Julia was one of several contestants who glared and avoided sitting near Caleb during the elimination ceremony.

Breaking Up is Hard to Do

Taking note of Caleb’s unpopularity, Julia and MK offer him an alliance. After he rejects them, Julia plans to get him voted off. And she drops a tree on a canoe Caleb was planning to use for the challenge. She smugly says it isn’t the first time she’s used a tree to take out Caleb, making a callback to the sap challenge. Caleb is angered, and he reminds Julia that destruction of property is a crime.

After seeing Caleb and Priya come close to making up, Julia is now determined to make sure that doesn’t happen. She advises Caleb to act cold to Priya and vice versa. Julia blames Caleb for causing more drama between himself and Priya by talking, saying that he ruined it. Julia is worried when she sees Caleb ready to tell Priya his true feelings, but he goes against her plan to have them avoid talking to each other. Now Julia, realizing that they were about to make up, tries to prevent it from happening using Caleb’s tablet to enable several punishments. Both Caleb and Priya glare at Julia after realizing that she’s the one who tried manipulating them.

Julia has succeeded in making Priya think that Caleb’s even more of a liar, now having his vote in addition.

Even Julia herself realizes she’s in danger. She tries asking if there’s hard feelings, but Caleb simply takes back his tablet. Caleb separates Julia and Priya as they fight. Julia taunts Priya for accidentally picking up her tablet, with Caleb also appearing worried. Seeing Caleb and Priya defeated, Julia approaches them, saying that she deserved the win. It’s revealed that Julia chose to give Caleb immunity. Julia then puts her hand on Caleb’s arm, saying “It’s you and me until the end, big guy.” Julia also has video evidence that Caleb agreed to their alliance in exchange for immunity. Julia acknowledges that she’s now caused Caleb and Priya to become more distant.

After the two are in a tie for last, Julia tells Caleb they’d need to step up their game if their alliance wanted a chance at winning. Caleb believes that they didn’t have an alliance: but that it was only an agreement. She tells him to call it whatever he wants, but that his vote is still hers. Caleb is angered when Julia wins immunity. Julia, in order to keep Caleb in, gets Priya to join them in voting off Raj. Caleb notes that he only agreed to ally with Julia because he made her promise they’d never vote off Priya.

Off the Hook!

Julia wants to make sure Caleb won’t betray her.

After hearing Julia fall out a tree, Caleb goes to check if she’s okay despite not having any form of fondness for her. Julia once again reminds Caleb of their deal, saying that she could still tell him who to vote for. Caleb tells Julia that their deal is still standing. However, he reluctantly caves in when Priya wants him to betray the alliance. Meanwhile, Julia works on getting Wayne to ally with her in case Caleb opted out. Julia worries after hearing Caleb tell Priya that he gets why she wanted him to be less honest. So Julia now asks Caleb if he was thinking about backing out of their deal. He denies this. And Julia then gives him a new plan: to hook Priya and let her win the challenge. Julia angrily tells him that if he didn’t do it, she’d know he was trying to double cross her, which wouldn’t end well for him. Priya is impressed that Caleb did it. She calls Caleb a good guy, but a terrible boyfriend. After Caleb and Julia are the last two in the ring, they walk around in their “final stand off”. Julia suggests that Caleb hooks himself. But then Caleb suggests letting him win. The two get distracted with their back and forth conversation, with Wayne coming and hooking Caleb before he could prove he wasn’t trying to double cross Julia. As it comes down to Caleb and his two allies, Julia tries encouraging him to hook Priya. Surprisingly, Caleb hooks both Julia and Priya, taking immunity for himself instead. Julia taunts Caleb after Priya’s voted off, saying that Wayne would’ve been the one going home if he’d let her win. However, she didn’t genuinely mean this: she only wanted to mess with their heads more.

Soar Losers

The episode opens with Caleb angered about Priya's elimination: threatening to make Julia pay. But she simply tells him that he should give up. After Julia loses part of her hair to the raptor, she is left angered; appearing behind Caleb, which worries him. But she would then hop onto his shoulders and leap off of him when Wayne's team fired at them, allowing Caleb to fall down into the gorge. After arriving at the mountain with the flying suits, Caleb teases Julia about how she waited for him. This gives Julia the motivation to actually jump, except she had initially failed to use the wings properly like Caleb was. Not wanting to let her fall to her death, Caleb tells Julia to stop trying to flap her wings and to just glide instead.

Caleb and Julia's rivalry intensifies as the two engage in physical combat rather than trying to glide to the finish.

Caleb and Julia agree that the gliding was cool, and Julia falsely promises that she'd let whoever made it to the finish line first wins. Caleb agrees with this idea, shortly before Julia furiously attacks him and causes him to be sent flying backwards. Julia remarks that Caleb will never learn, in reference to her cruel nature clashing with his nice and gentle heart. However, this has pushed Caleb over the edge. Caleb and Julia continue fighting and punching each other, until Caleb manages to swoop in and hit Julia hard enough to send both of them falling and tumbling down a tree; now having to both attempt to finish the race on foot. Julia fakes having been hurt after Caleb did this. He expresses concern, shortly before Julia kicks him and successfully sweeps him off his feet. Caleb and Julia run towards the end, pushing and shoving each other. They both make a final leap for the finishing target, before Wayne came crashing down; knocking them both aside before either of them could win. Caleb takes the loss well, feeling better after Priya comforted him; saying he felt like he won after Priya kissed him. But Julia, angered about her loss, walks away while reminding Caleb that he didn't.

Trivia

• In Meet the Victims, Caleb is the twelfth contestant to be introduced while Julia was the sixteenth. Ironically, Caleb comes in sixteenth place and Julia was eliminated in the twelfth episode in Total Drama Island (2023).
• In Total Drama Island (2023), they're, respectively, the first and last contestants overall to be taken by the Drone of Despair. Caleb is taken in Meet the Victims and Julia is taken in Caved by the Bell.
  • In addition to this, they’re among the few contestants to take the Drone of Despair only once, with the others being Bowie, Millie, Priya, and Wayne.
• They’re the highest ranking male and highest ranking female of their respective teams in Total Drama Island (2024).
• Caleb is the lowest ranked male member on the Frogs of Death while Julia is the highest ranked female member on the Frogs of Death
• This is the fourth pair to be eliminated simultaneously. The others are:
