Koh-Lanta: Vanuatu is the sixth season of Koh-Lanta. It was broadcast on TF1 from July 21 to September 5, 2006, with each episode airing at 8:55 p.m.

François-David Cardonnel defeated Émilie Frahi in a 5-3 jury vote to become the Sole Survivor. To date, this season has produced three returning players (Émilie Frahi, François-David Cardonnel and Ludovic Laresche) for future seasons.

Production

This season was filmed in Efate, Vanuatu. Along with the typical aspects of the game, this season, castaways had to deal with both a cyclone and a series of earthquakes (one of which damaged the Immunity Idol).

Twists/Changes

• Old vs. Young: Similar to the previous season, the castaways were divided on the basis of age. The Mosso tribe consisted of castaways over the age of 30, and the Tana tribe consisted of castaways aged 30 and younger.
• Replacements: Due to three evacuations, three castaways (Nathalie Penigaud, Sébastien Roullé and Alain Ponton) returned to the game after being voted out.
• Tribe Switch: After winning the Reward Challenge on Day 13, Tana could permanently take one of Mosso's members. They chose Sébastien.
