Plot summary[]

PART 2 of 5
"SHOOT FIRST, QUESTIONS LATER"
BLACK SPIRE OUTPOST is a haven for smugglers, merchants and travelers
from every corner of the galaxy — all looking to make the score of a
lifetime through the infamous black market.

The mysterious Dok-Ondar is known far and wide as a collector and
trader of only the most valuable artifacts money can buy. But a trio of
outlaws are after a fabled relic that even Dok-Ondar fears…and they've
hatched a scheme to swindle the Ithorian out of it.

But with the evil First Order occupying Black Spire, time is running out
to pull this difficult heist off....

Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber[]

"Ki-Adi-Mundi? Was that the one with the pointy head? I never paid much attention to history--I am much more concerned with the future."
―A First Order stormtrooper sergeant[4]
Mundis death

A flashback of the death of Ki-Adi-Mundi.

In a flashback, Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi is fighting with his clone trooper unit when Order 66 is activated and the clone troopers kills the Cerean.[5] Back to the present, a First Order stormtrooper sergeant is at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities holding Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber and threatening Dok-Ondar. During their conversation a hidden cam droid placed there by Remex Io records the conversation for Remex and his fellow bounty hunters, Kendoh Voss and Wooro. Kendoh Gang had planned to heist a mysterious object from Dok-Ondar but needs the location of it. After Wooro leaves to go for a walk, Kendoh and Remex Io discuss what they will do with the credits they will earn from this heist. While discussing this, Remex Io changes his form to the First Order stormtrooper sergeant, before being told to quiet down by Kendoh. Back at Dok-Ondar's shop the stormtrooper sergeant tells Dok-Ondar to report any Resistance contact and threatens to destroy all the relics in the shop. Dok-Ondar understands that the sergeant doesn't care much about history but tells him the story of how he got his hands on Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber.

Greedo's bounty[]

"Whatever you do, don't harm the Givin! Jabba wants him alive."
―Greedo[4]
Greedo lightsaber theft

Greedo stealing Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber.

On Mygeeto the Banking Clan holds Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber which they view as a relic. Vice Chairman Anolo had hired a Givin codebreaker to crack codes needed for a war with the Hutts. As they are discussing this a shot comes through the window causing it to break and for the Vice Chairman to start an evacuation of the tower in which they were in. The shot had come from the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo who is with a Kadas'sa'Nikto named Takvaa, who had been sent on a mission by Jabba Desilijic Tiure to kidnap the codebreaker. Back at the tower the Givin and Anolo continue to run with some Muun guards, when they stop and the codebreaker notices that the wall is thinner then the walls in Anolo's office. Suddenly an explosion detonates with Greedo and Takvaa appearing. They open fire on the guards but start to get overwhelmed. Greedo then uses Takvaa as a shield to block against an attack, killing Takvaa in the process. Greedo then swiftly kills Anolo and drags the Givin along with him as more guards appear. Greedo proceeds to lock himself and the codebreaker in Anolo's office but time is running out as the guards start to get the door open. As the codebreaker continues to calculate their odds of success, Greedo tells his other crewmates to move the rendezvous point to his location. He then grabs Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber and proceeds to shatter the window. A grappling hook is launched from a skiff in order to get the codebreaker and Greedo across. The reluctant Givin tells Greedo that the grappling line will not be able to hold his weight but Greedo pushes him on it anyways, causing the codebreaker to fall to his death.[6]

Shortly after at Jabba's Palace, Jabba the Hutt is very disappointed in Greedo, who is on his knees pleading for his life. Right before Jabba throws Greedo into the rancor pit, Dok-Ondar offers to take Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber from Greedo for double its worth to Jabba. Jabba agrees and spares Greedo before sending him out on another more simpler mission.

Causing a distraction[]

"What do you mean "You're welcome"? What distraction? What Wookiee?"
―Kendoh Voss[4]
Kendoh and crew

Kendoh and crew preparing for their heist.

Many years later, Wooro is walking the market of Black Spire Outpost when he encounters a Wookiee standing in his way. Wooro knocks the Wookiee over before leaving, but the Wookiee comes back and tries to attack Wooro and is again knocked out. But this time the Wookiee gets up and hits back at Wooro. Wooro then proceeds to club their head with a BB-series astromech droid toy. Wooro reports the Wookiee to the authorities as a member of the Resistance in order to cause a distraction and get the stormtroopers to leave so they can collect a Sith artifact the next day.
